Respectfully referred to as Da Reggae Don, DJ Norie was born and raised in Brooklyn’s East Flatbush area. Norie became familiar with reggae music by listening to coveted sound clash cassettes from the era’s premier Jamaican sound systems. “Listening to the cassettes of Stone Love, Kilimanjaro and other sounds, I knew I wanted to be a part of that,” Norie recalled.

Making noise through the city and the tri-state area working clubs and various spots, he earned a rep for rocking the party and built a name as a top reggae and Caribbean DJ. From there, in 2009 Norie joined Power 105.1 FM, NY’s #1 station for hip hop, R&B and reggae music, and is now the region’s #1 Caribbean & Afrobeats DJ, staying on the vanguard of the global pan-African music explosion, helping to break artists in the top US market.

More recently taking on the role as artist too, DJ Norie has released singles featuring core Jamaican stalwarts Sean Paul, Shaggy, Konshens and others, as well as collaborating with young Afrobeat stars like Libianca, and Ghanian vet Stonebwoy, with more on the way. Every weekend, you can find Norie rocking clubs throughout the Tri-State NY area, helping turn the party out.
